Privacy Policy

Overview

Our Baby Log is designed to help parents and trusted caregivers record and share baby-care information. This policy explains what information the app handles, why it is used, and the choices available to users.

Information you provide

Depending on how you use the app, Our Baby Log may process account information such as an email address; baby profile information such as name, birth date, and profile photo; care records such as feeding, diaper, sleep, notes, timestamps, and related details; Care Circle membership and invitation information; and information included in reports or exports you choose to create.

How information is used

Information is used to provide core app features, including authentication, saving and displaying care records, synchronizing information across a user's devices, supporting shared caregiving through Care Circles, generating visit reports and exports, maintaining account security, and responding to support or account requests.

Local storage and cloud synchronization

Some data may be stored locally on your device so the app can remain useful when connectivity is limited. When cloud and shared-care features are used, information may also be synchronized with backend services so authorized caregivers can access the same baby profile and care history across devices.

Service providers

Our Baby Log uses third-party infrastructure providers to operate features such as account authentication, database storage, file storage, and secure synchronization. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to the app and are subject to their own contractual and security obligations.

Our Baby Log currently uses Supabase for authentication and backend data services.

Shared caregivers

If you invite another person to a Care Circle, that person may be able to view, add, edit, or delete shared baby-care information according to the permissions provided by the app. Only invite people you trust. Removing a caregiver stops future access, but information they previously viewed or exported may remain outside the app.

Photos and files

If you choose to add a baby profile photo or create, save, or share a report, the app processes those files only to provide the feature you selected. Shared or exported files may be handled by other apps or services you choose through the iOS share sheet.

Advertising, tracking, and sale of data

Our Baby Log does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for cross-app advertising or third-party advertising tracking. The app is not currently supported by third-party advertising.

Data retention and deletion

Information is retained for as long as needed to provide the app's features or until it is deleted by an authorized user, subject to technical, security, legal, and shared-data requirements. Signed-in users can request account deletion from Settings. Deleting an account is permanent. Some shared information may need to remain available to other authorized caregivers where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting access to their devices, email accounts, and login credentials.

Children

Our Baby Log is intended for use by adult parents and caregivers. The app is not intended to be used independently by children. Information about a baby is entered and managed by an adult caregiver.

Medical information

Our Baby Log is a record-keeping tool and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice. Users should contact a qualified healthcare professional with medical questions or concerns.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the app changes. When updates are made, the effective date above will be revised.
